I would laugh, but stupid right wing ideas have a way of spreading like a bad virus... (remember the bylaws enacted by places like Las Vegas to fine people for giving sandwiches to the homeless? Now Calgary fines them for putting their feet up on a bench)A New York store owner is doing this:

Well, obviously the guy isn't going to collect the million or even a dollar from these people.So, his intention is to get them to go elsewhere. So, he's not really suing them. He's trying to raise awareness of his problem and their problem. Now, let's say that you are the store owner and you are losing 20% of your business as a result of the homeless people pissing in front of your store. What would you do differently?

Except Pal is right in this instance. There's an old saying in civil law 'you can't collect blood from a stone' that surely applies. The shop owner's target is not the homeless people. His real aim is to light a fire under the poo-bahs at City Hall. Whether that's right or wrong is really the question, not the bogus lawsuit.
