Tomorrow, Aung San Suu Kyi, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for 1991, will be sixty years old.

Happy birthday to her.

She has lived under house arrest on and off since 1988, for a total period now approaching ten years.

oh, skdadl, you beat me to it. it's hard to believe she's 60. wow, where does the time go, eh? it's sad she's spent so many years in isolation. err, what can i say? i hope it's not all in vain.
