Not only are the child labour laws and protections seriously weakened but the inspectors that made sure labour standards for field workers and berry pickers were upheld are now down to just 3 people. Immigrant workers are being exploited along with their children and there is no one to complain to. There is an excellent article on the protection for field workers ( that are often children and old people) at http://www.thetyee.ca/News/index.htm
