The Globe ran a review of the new OBOS on the weekend. Here's the companion website for it: OBOS website

It has been 35 (!) years since it was first published. My life as a feminist has several seminal (ha) moments, and my first view of OBOS was certainly one of them. As Kathleen O'Grady, the Globe reviewer, says, the first one I saw was 'well-thumbed' and like her, I eventually bought several copies for friends and relatives.

What I remember most vividly from my first encounter with it was the line-drawings of vaginas. So many variations, and, ohmygod, so strangely beautiful. I was a teenager and had never thought of vaginas as -- well, anything. Now I was almost hypnotized by them and finding them beautiful. It was a strange, unsettling and empowering moment.

Anyhow, all hail the Boston Women's Health Book Collective!
