COA News just featured a great short video titled "Hezbollah: Lebanese Defenders"It's great to see a news organization that is covering this from a different perspective! I'm sure we'll see conservatives slaming them for it though. I found out about this from their News Alert Service [ 15 July 2006: Message edited by: Ryaninfo ]

quote: HAIFA, Israel (AP) -- Hezbollah guerillas fired a barrage of rockets into Israel's third-largest city Sunday, killing eight people and wounding seven in the worst attack on Israel since violence broke out along the border with Lebanon last week.Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert vowed there would be ''far-reaching consequences'' for the attack -- the second against the northern city of Haifa in four days. The attacks came hours after Israeli warplanes pounded Beirut's southern suburbs and bombed a major power station south of the Lebanese capital. The bombardment in Beirut stopped -- then started again after the Haifa attack. At least six airstrikes shook the Lebanese capital, briefly knocking the Hezbollah's television station off air, witnesses said. A cloud of thick smoke rose from the targeted area. Witnesses said the area was Haret Hreik, which houses Hezbollah headquarters and has been hit several times over the past three days.

It's going to get worse: quote:
The London-based Arabic language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Saturday that “Washington has information according to which Israel gave Damascus 72 hours to stop Hizbullah’s activity along the Lebanon-Israel border and bring about the release the two kidnapped IDF soldiers or it would launch an offensive with disastrous consequences.”
How will Syria respond?

Ah yes... another case of Israel being a "bull in a china shop".I never cease to be amused by the protestations of Israeli leaders, the latest being Olmert. Calling kidnappings an "act of war", he proceeds to make war on civilian apartment blocks and attacks civilian transport (refugees fleeing yet another Israel started war). Israel targets civilian gas stations and food stores, along with power sources, bridges and a host of other civilian infrastructure. Israel's disproportionate use of force, coupled with it's illegal targetting of civilians, makes it hard to feel sorry for Israel and not feel that Israel has "made its' bed, so lie in it". Collective punishment of civilian populace IS ILLEGAL. There are WAR CRIMES TRIALS occurring in the Hague, RIGHT NOW, for JUST THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOUR.
