Hi, I am quite new to politics, and am after some help. I am writing a report on the 2005 Bali Bombs (terrorist attacks) and am looking to see how the events were perceived by different people supporting different theoretical ideoligies (examply marxists / feminists / liberalism etc) and also, of course, their criticism for other approaches and they way that they particularly see it. I have read books, articles and been reserching for weeks, but it is all quite confusing to me and Im really interested to hear some peoples opinions straight from them. Any response would be greatly appreciated. I have posted this in another section, althoush as I said Im new to this and was after a feminist viewpoint which I thought I may be able to get here. Thanks in advance

Hi Taylah, and welcome to babble. Your post is a bit vague. Maybe you could tell us a bit more about what evidence you've looked at already, what this report is for, and what the goal of your report should be?

Hi CATCHFIRE, Thanks for your response and help. I didnt want to write too much in the first post and put anybody off replying! I am writing a short report on the Bali Bombs. It is only 1000 words, so not long at all. It is just difficult for me as I have limited knowledge of theorectial approaches, and I need to understand them all (atleast a little) to complete the report. So, what I have to do is write the report from a particular theoretical approach (for example liberalism, realism, marxism or feminism)
. I also need to write what other peoples from other backgrouds perspectives would be. For example, I could write the report in a Liberalism perspective, and then criticise the points within the report from a Marzist and Feminist perspective, and then from a Liberal perspective criticise their points! I hope this isnt confusing you as I am really looking forward to your help. Please let me know if I have left anything out. Thankyou

also, my report is for international relations, I have looked through texts, academic articles and websites trying to grasp some basic knowledge of the theoretical approaches but I think it would be better to get peoples opinions from them selves, as there are so many forms of liberalism, feminism etc. I guess the goal of the report is for us to demonstrate a basic understanding of the theoretical approaches and where each of them stand with relation to terrorism. Thanks

You might want to look at women as casualties of war from a feminist point of view and contrast that with the military industrail complex. You could discuss power imbalances and the fact that many women are raped, beaten and killed during times of war and try to figure out exactly why that may be (from a feminist perspective).
