The Windows XP "starter" edition which is being marketed in third world countries (to combat the threat from Linux) apparently won't work on PC's with Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon CPU's.

It'll only work on Intel Celeron, AMD Duron, Geode and Via CPU's (the "budget" CPU's).

I guess this will lead to the continued growth of Linux
