Journalist gunned down in Cambodian capital Agence France-Presse Phnom Penh, October 18 quote: A senior political editor for a radio station owned by a key opposition party was shot dead on Saturday, two days after Cambodia's Prime Minister accused the broadcaster of insulting his party.Chou Chetharith, 37, a deputy editor of the royalist Funcinpec party's Ta Prum radio, was shot in the jaw in broad daylight in Phnom Penh by a gunman-riding pillion on a motorcycle, police and party officials said.
quote: However, senior Funcinpec member Lu Laysreng told reporters that Chou Chetharith's death was politically motivated but he declined to say who he thought was behind the killing."This is a threat to shut-up people and thwart freedom of expression, it is a very cruel act of murder," he said.
quote: "They shouldn't use a few people to insult me through the radio station and (present it) as though it is the desire of Cambodian the whole people," he said."I think the parties' leaders have to properly control the media stations to avoid any conflicts. Insults are not good ethics for the educated people."
How do we like this rational? Bullets are somehow more ethical than insults? Prime Minister Hun Sen and his government is oganized crime attempting to pass themselves off as a legitimate government. Needless to add however, April 1974 began a purge of anyone known and suspected to posses an education. A process in which Hun Sen was a participant. He is now a Vietnamese puppet.
