I'm trying to find info on how much corporate and personal taxes have been cut over the last couple of decades.Does anyone know where I might connect with this info? I'm disgusted with this constant babble about not having enough money to fund programs but yet they are cutting taxes more and more. There doesn't seem much call for raising taxes both personal & corporate as Hampton called for. I thought I was reading somewhere that corportae taxes are at there lowest in decades. Thanks Dan

If you want the government's version of tax history, you should check out The Department of Finance website. They are the policy writers and analysts for Canada's tax system.

You can also do your own nitty gritty research by looking at Canada Revenue Agency website and pull up the last ten years of T2's and do mock returns and see how the rates have fluctuated over the years.

If you go to the Canadian Center for POlicy Alternatives at www.policyalternatives.ca
you should be able to find something.
