Theoretically who would support who in the US presedential election? Presumably many will support Barrack as has been general sentiment in the Babble but would anyone support a third party candidate or an independent? I am a swing voter theoretically. I would support either the Brian Moore-Stewart Alexander Ticket or the Gloria La Riva Ticket even though I have my reservations on the latter. I lean more towards Moore.

What principle will Obama sell out today?

Is Nader going to be a spoiler?

Cynthia McKinney and the Green Party

It depends on where I'm hypothetically voting as a hypothetical-American. If it's somewhere that's definitely in the tank for Obama, like California or New York - or hopelessly McCain, like Utah or Texas, I'd vote Nader or McKinney, whichever was available. If I'm in a swing state like North Carolina (it's weird saying that), I'd vote Obama.

Definition of "swing state" - one that uses hanging as the death penalty?

So the question becomes "Who would you vote for if you were certain they would never be elected?"

I assumed from the thread title you only wanted to hear from non-Obama supporters.

Obama takes positions that seem like sellouts until you read the fine print.

Clean coal for example. He's "for" it, but only IF they keep all pollutants and contain all the carbon. Coal boosters talk a big game like they have all that in the bag, but they don't. So O gets to sound like a lean mean pro-pollutin' machine, but in reality clean coal is a myth and they'll never be able to meet his preconditions. Not that coal folks would admit that, they'll just say it's around the corner.

McCain was right in one respect, you have to parse his stuff very carefully.

It's the same with offshore drilling. The caveats he attaches, even though the oil guys SAY it's doable, they aren't that doable.

That's lawyers for you.

Me, I back the uninsane candidate on this one.
