The conservative candidate in the riding of Ancaster Dundas Flamborough Westdale; David Sweet has stated his belief in the leadership and superiority of men over women. Like a lot of candidates that the conservative party is running in this election, he is a far-right christian fundamentalist who has expressed many homophobic and sexist views. He is the former Canadian CEO of the men's group - Promise Keepers, and is on the board of directors for a CAPSS, an anti-abortion counselling service for pregnant women.
I really hope that enough women and progressive people in this riding and others realize the true agenda of Harper and the conservative party and vote NDP!!
