'Predator' offered women jobs

He's a churchgoing family man who runs a corporate headhunting firm in Toronto.

But in his off-hours he had another guise: posing as an entertainment executive searching for a secretary/personal assistant to travel around the world, meeting stars like Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

Yesterday, a judge convicted Joseph T. Joseph, 35, of forcibly confining and sexually assaulting two women in separate incidents – one threatened with a handgun – who believed they were meeting him for a job interview.

"I only muse that his behaviour was heading to something more serious," said Superior Court Justice Faye McWatt.

... Joseph remains out on bail pending a sentencing hearing on May 22.

".. behaviour heading to more serious." But you kept him out anyway !?

Two justice systems - one for the rich, one for the poor. If this guy was a construction worker, you can be sure he wouldn't be out on bail.

Funny, when adam stratton puts editorial opinion into a hotlink, nobody complains.

But when I do it, a moderator gets upset.

Gee, you don't suppose it could have anything to do with the personal biases of the moderator in question, do you?

No, of course not.

Obviously you have a point. However, I doubt personal bias against you is the issue, but the fact that the specific topic you started is a known cause of fighting on the board.

Yeah M., I have friends in higher places
By the way, didn't you teach me how to embed ? Maybe it is out with 'teachers', in with 'students' ! (Thank you by the way, M.)

Seriously, I had no idea that the embedding should not be long. I have seen others putting long sentences. Now I understand why your embedding is very short as in "THIS".

I still have to learn. My apologies to the
moderator(s).

Cueball:

So you figure it's OK for me to say something controversial in black type, but not in red?

Because that's the only way to make sense of it apart from the moderator's personal bias.

Neither did I, since babblers have been doing it for years.

And it's not about length, it's about the content of the words that appear in red. Stupid, eh?

Michelle is usually pretty fair, IMO. On the other hand its not a full time job, so one can't expect instant action.
