Last week, six months after his abduction, his body was found dumped in North Waziristan, handcuffed and shot in the back.

It is my understanding that the Pakistani Army has suffered large number of casualties in the last year in this area. The last number I saw was about 500 dead and 2000 wounded due to the fighting the Taliban and other armed groups in the Waziristan districts.
