I've been looking for our great old Tony thread and I just can't find it.

But I figured some people would be feeling happily smug about the results of the local elections yesterday and might want to indulge in some Schadenfreude here.

Someone in the G&M this a.m. who obviously doesn't know how Tony and "Red" Ken Livingstone feel about each other just broke me up by observing that Livingstone's re-election in London would at least be "a comfort" to Tony.

Ha ha ha ha.

Yeah, I thought that was a delicious irony. Couldn't have been more well-served. It continues to amaze me how the base of the Labour party stands for the guy.

If I remember correctly, however, Livingstone has been changing his tune in recent months, getting more in line with Blair's pro-business stance..
