9/11 Commission Report Cover-up of Norman Mineta's Sworn Testimony on May 23, 2003

Try to explain Mineta's (Bush's carryover Secretary of Transportation from 2001-2006) May 23, 2003, testimony before the 9/11 Commission and what the orders meant (see part of Mineta's sworn testimony mentioning the "orders" at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDfdOwt2v3Y).
I contend there's been a major cover-up since no details from Mineta's SWORN testimony ever made it to the 9/11 Commission Report. Why not - to hide something - wrongdoing of some kind or incompetence - what? We've never been told what the "orders" (shootdown or standdown?) meant. I fault the 9/11 Commission AND the mainstream media for not exposing the fact that Mineta's SWORN testimony never made it to the 9/11 Commission Report and that the author(s) published the time of Cheney's arrival into the PEOC (based on a login report) at 9:58 and Mineta said Cheney was already there as of 9:20. The Pentagon attack, according to the report, occurred at 9:37 WHICH MEANS, ACCORDING TO THE REPORT, CHENEY WASN'T EVEN IN THE PEOC RUNNING THINGS DURING THE PENTAGON ATTACK! WHAT'S WITH THOSE TIMES - I SEE A CONTRADICTION. Does this all imply a cover-up? I've provided links for anyone to check out including ones I found at the official 9/11 Commission site. I've also included the May 23, 2003 testimony transcript that appears on the OFFICIAL 9/11 Commission site itself - NOT SOME OBSCURE INTERNET CONSPIRACY SITE. Did the 9/11 Commission Report authors consider Mineta's testimony as trivial? I don't think so. It was an outright contradiction to Cheney's OFFICIAL arrival time of 9:58!!!

At Wikipedia & elsewhere...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11_Commission_Report

The report did not include testimony by Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta which describes the situation in the Presidential Emergency Operating Center (PEOC) with Vice President Cheney as American Airlines Flight 77 approached the Pentagon on 9/11/01: "There was a young man who had come in and said to the vice president, "The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out." And when it got down to, "The plane is 10 miles out," the young man also said to the vice president, "Do the orders still stand?" And the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said, "Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?" Well, at the time I didn't know what all that meant. And--" Yet despite such a detailed description of the events that day, the only mention of Mineta in the Commission Report is on p. 326 (actual 9/11 Commission Report page - not the PDF file), that Mineta was part of a group that met with Bush at the end of September 11 to review the events of the day.[8]

I went to the 9/11 Commission Report and here's all I came across on Mineta:

http://www.9-11commission.gov/report/911Report.pdf

PDF Page 344
Following his speech, President Bush met again with his National Security Council (NSC), expanded to include Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta and Joseph Allbaugh, the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.Secretary of State Colin Powell, who had returned from Peru after hearing of the attacks, joined the discussion. They reviewed the day's events.

36. NSC memo, Summary of Conclusions for Principals Committee Meeting Held on September 13, 2001.
In addition to the usual members of President Bush's war cabinet, Secretary of Transportation Mineta and FAA security chief Canavan also attended.

At PDF Page 482, para 213: On the Vice President's call, see President Bush and Vice President Cheney meeting (Apr. 29, 2004). For the Vice President's time of arrival in the shelter conference room, see White House record, PEOC Shelter Log, Sept. 11, 2001 (9:58);

I was curious what the report said about the time for the Pentagon attack. So at PDF Page 50 of the report, you'll find this:
9:32 Dulles tower observes radar of fast-moving aircraft (later identified as AA 77)
9:34 FAA advises NEADS that AA 77 is missing
9:37:46 AA 77 crashes into the Pentagon

The timeline, based on the above, places Cheney, according to PEOC Shelter Log, arriving at 9:58 (AFTER WHATEVER HIT THE PENTAGON) - NOT BEFORE - AS MINETA'S TESTIMONY HINTS AT WHEN HE SAID HE OVERHEARD CHENEY IN THE CONVERSATION WITH THAT "YOUNG MAN". HERE'S MR. HAMILTON OF THE 9/11 COMMISSION & HIS CONVERSATION WITH MINETA:

MR. HAMILTON: The flight you're referring to is the --
MR. MINETA: The flight that came into the Pentagon.
MR. HAMILTON: The Pentagon, yeah.

The above contradicts the PEOC Shelter Log placing Cheney in the PEOC at 9:58 and the Pentagon attack which officially occurred at 9:37. Mineta's sworn testimony blows that timeline all apart! Basically, the official timeline noted in the report doesn't even mention if Cheney was even present during the Pentagon attack which he wouldn't have been since the official timeline placed him there at 9:58!! Mineta's sworn testimony contradicts the official timeline because he claimed to be present when Cheney had that conversation with that "young man" before the Pentagon attack which Mineta thought was Flight 77. Since Mineta's testimony was never included in the 9/11 Commission report, the contradiction for Cheney being in the PEOC at 9:58 - after the Pentagon attack - required no formally documented explanation from Cheney!

Mineta's Arrival Time:
Per http://www.9-11commission.gov/archive/hearing2/9-11Commission_Hearing_2003-05-23.htm

Mr. Mineta said he arrived at 9:20 AM (but that was never mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report - only in the 5/23/03 Hearing transcript)

At the link above:

MR. ROEMER: So when you arrived at 9:20, how much longer was it before you overheard the conversation between the young man and the vice president saying, "Does the order still stand?"
MR. MINETA: Probably about five or six minutes.
MR. ROEMER: So about 9:25 or 9:26. And your inference was that the vice president snapped his head around and said, "Yes, the order still stands." Why did you infer that that was a shoot-down?

Mineta claims Cheney was in the PEOC at 9:20 when he (Mineta) arrived.

Here's more contradiction to Mineta's claim regarding Cheney's whereabouts:

http://www.9-11commission.gov/report/911Report_Ch1.htm

American 77 began turning south, away from the White House, at 9:34. It continued heading south for roughly a minute, before turning west and beginning to circle back. This news prompted the Secret Service to order the immediate evacuation of the Vice President just before 9:36. Agents propelled him out of his chair and told him he had to get to the bunker. The Vice President entered the underground tunnel leading to the shelter at 9:37.209

I mentioned previously Cheney supposedly signed in on the PEOC login report at 9:58 - I'm not sure I can accept the "official" version of when Cheney was/where before, during and after the Pentagon attack - based on 9-11 Commission Report hearings., etc.

I came across info that Mineta resigned in August 2006 after Jim Feltzer for 9/11 Truth appeared on Hannity & Colmes where he mentioned the controversy regarding Mineta's testimony. Why? Was Mineta urged to resign and for what reason?

We need to know what the young aide meant regarding the word "orders" and what Cheney meant. I detect a "cover-up" regarding Mineta's testimony which needs to brought out publicly. I have been studying 9/11 inconsistencies for the past 1 1/2 years and the Mineta testimony beats them all. I have presented outright PROOF of a cover-up.

Check out pages 40 and 41 of the 9/11 Commission Report for what appears to be taken from Mineta's testimony (based on a supposed event that took place about 50 minutes later and involving an initial distance of 80 miles, not 50 miles), but were actually Scooter Libby's notes - apparently not sworn testimony:
http://www.9-11commission.gov/report/911Report.pdf
On page 41, Cheney was "...asked for authority to engage the aircraft. His reaction was described by Scooter Libby as quick and decisive , "in about the time it takes a batter to decide to swing." What aircraft was referred to when the aide mentioned the plane was 80 miles out, etc.? The time mentioned in the report was after the Pentagon attack (intercept aircraft apparently were not in the area at this time) and Flight 93 going down. The time was around 10:15 AM (and intercept aircraft were finally in the DC area at this time) and Mineta's testimony said he heard a conversation between the young aide and Cheney at around 9:26 for what was considered to be Flight 77, but the Pentagon attack occurred at around 9:37.

I've read nowhere in the report, on the 9/11 Commission site or anywhere else (news media, etc.) that Mineta had his details wrong or lied during his sworn testimony on May 23, 2003, before the 9/11 Commission and the rest of the country as shown on C-SPAN. There was no analysis or rebuttal. I wonder why?

Was the 9/11 Commission Report meant to be a standalone official document and the report author(s) never intended anyone to do some cross-referencing with the official 9/11 Commission site as I and others I have done? I occasionally mention this information I've come across to others and they usually mention they've read the report, but they never mentioned they cross-referenced anything in the report with the official 9/11 Commission website. The omission of details from Mineta's sworn testimony makes me question the official version of 9/11 events. Other inconsistencies in the 9/11 Commission Report: no details on the collapse of WTC 7 and no mention of War Games involving U.S. fighter aircraft that were supposedly under way with Cheney in charge on 9/11/01. Did the war games really occur and was Cheney really in charge of them?
