Can't find news articles at the moment on the CNN web site, but they're reporting on TV that there are gas shortages in several southern states, with huge line ups and empty gas stations.

Okay, no, I'm seeing it now. "Drivers in the south, and along the eastern seaboard" can't get gas because gas stations have run out. Apparently it has to do with a pipeline from (maybe Texas?) that has been interrupted.

Based on the stories I've heard since yesterday, there have been supply problems in Tennessee as a result of damage from Hurricane Ike. The problem has worsened because people got panicky and started hoarding which left a lot of gas stations dry.
