As long as the Kuomintang controls the legislative Yuan, there will be a lot of pollution, of the spiritual, ideological, ecological, and intellectual variety.

LONG LIVE LEE TENG-HUI AND THE TSU!

FUCK CHINA AND FUCK AMERICA!

Hao li hai NDP Newbie!

Just to play devils advocate, as my knowledge on Taiwanese party politics is still limited, but couldn't you argue that the TSU helps spilt the pan-Blue vote away from the DPP ?

Regardless, Taiwan's pollution problems go FAR deeper than the Guomindang, IMO. Millions of 2-stroke powered mo-te-ches (scooters), for example, are absolutely terrible.... but I'd like to see any party try and midigate that problem. Add the countries perpetual lack of resources, particular energy, and they will remain overwhlemingly dependant on fossil fuels for every aspect of their economic existence.
