I expect everything on World Net Daily to be fulla crap; that's a given. But an August 8 column by one 'Vox Day' is just too bizarre to ignore.

quote:
Men's increasing unwillingness to marry stems primarily from two causes -- the feminized family court system that transformed marriage from a mutually beneficial contract into a financial and emotional liability, and the removal of paternal responsibility for the sexual behavior of young women. Ergo, the need for marriage has been eliminated while its liabilities have increased. As Blue America and de-Christianizing Europe increasingly show, in the absence of religion there is now very little impetus for marriage.

...

The women of America would do well to consider whether their much-cherished gains of the right to vote, work, murder and freely fornicate are worth destroying marriage, children, civilized Western society and little girls. They can at least console themselves with the thought that, in the long run, it doesn't matter what they do, because the women's-rights ideology is an evolutionary dead end, and it is increasingly apparent that societies embracing it will not survive.

In the end, it's not that hard to understand. A little girl who is not born will never vote, work or raise a little girl of her own.

Edited to add the link I forgot.

Wow. It's all our fault, eh? Like, everything! Including the war on terror!

Some people live in very simple worlds, don't they. Mr Day's (what is it about that clan? ) world seems to be one tiny clenched-up ball of pure anger against women.

Did you notice, in his bio line, that that guy is a member of Mensa? Just goes to show ... (What does that go to show again?)

That those people who think a reference to Mensa in their C.V. is cool, aren't?

Interesting that the writer seems to equate working & voting with murder & fornication. Could it be an explanation for why so many women have been violated & murdered by men who work & vote??????

This kind of barn yard manure "religious" writing really upsets me!

Well, God is pissed & SHE's coming!

Did you also notice he describes himself as a libertarian?

Given his opinion of women's rights, one must assume he is not a lacto-ovo libertarian.

Egad, gadzooks, and ods boddikens!! So THAT is what we've been up to for the past thirty years.

I've wondered at the "why" but I was so busy bombing mailboxes, making up the duty roster for the hit squads we sent out to seek out and punish the rapists and misogynists, and tatting the battle flag of the movement I didn't really have time to ponder what the ultimate goal of it all was... you know how it is when you feel up to your ass in alligators...

now I know...we are the anti-christ!

I'd try to do something about it but just got a new shipment of weapons and now I have to decide who gets what, to do what with, and when.

damned details!
let's see, Skdadl gets the plastique...

Aw, gee, anne. I was hoping to be assigned the snips. How can I maintain my rep as a castrating bitch with plastique? There must be someone else who's better at full-on demolition. Michelle? Scout?

Y'know, it's funny: as an adult, I have known a few men whom I would now call women-haters, real haters of women, and by that I don't mean that they were gay -- the ones I've known were all heteros (all the gay men I've known well have been most woman-positive).

Where the hell does it come from?

I think back to the boys I grew up with, starting with my own brothers, and while most of them would have been discriminating unthinkingly as they grew up (we're back in the fifties here, remember), they were certainly not haters. I'm sure that, more often than not, women made them feel all gooey-nice -- it was just that they also believed all the stereotypes about who got to live what sort of life.

But then I did meet some really bitter angry men. Some men are seriously fixated on women as the source of their problems. I have no idea what to do about them.

Hey anne, can I have the plastique? The combination of high heels, skirted suit & colored blonde hair fools them every time! They are so busy looking at my legs or my boobs, they always miss the weapons!

You fiberal, LIEberal, theft-wing hypocrits! This poor guy is doing the best he can, especially when you take into consideration the glaring evidence that he has been woefully and sadistically abused...

...by his hair-stylist, obviously. Or maybe he's just had so many face-lifts that his "thatch" has ended up on the top of this head?

Anyway, I'm shocked and disappointed.

Why fewer men are getting married (in no particular order):

1) Fewer women want to get married, that makes it harder for men to meet potential wives in a monogamous society.
2) A whole life of sexual freedom and no responsibility can sound like so much fun to some!
3) Probably gay men used to get married more often as part of social pressure.
4) fear of divorce.
5) A lot of people have developed very high standards for what they want in a marriage partner, and that makes it difficult for many to make the cut.

I do recall reading in a gazette editorial, that still, 90% of people end up getting married. So the alarm is ringing too loud.

Eden.
They've never forgiven us agriculture - for turning them from mighty hunter-warriors into farmers and accountants. (True, Adam could have refused the apple, but he was used to being served, he didn't think much about what he was served.)
So they've been taking revenge ever since, which went okay until the guilty women began objecting to their just punishment. Then, all hell broke loose.
Only way to fix the problem is for men to reclaim their pre-apple purity.

On behalf of my entire gender, I'd like to say:

None of us ever met this guy. If we did, we'd give him a nuclear wedgie.

That's a collective promise.
