quote: Isn't this the guy who makes a living screaming verbal abuse at his employees on a reality television show?
Not HIS employees, no.
His employees are actually very very loyal and its been stated he doesnt have that screaming tendency. Just for the TV shows. Even the tv shows its not as bad as portrayed. His autobiography was excellent, especially when he talked about the spousal violence or his brothers heroin addiction

His language is still pretty sexist. He helps keep women out of the (professional) kitchen by continuing to speak of chefs and cooks as only men.
He is also a proponent of the weird kitchen philosophy that cooking food is such a divine calling that labour rules need not apply.
The dude is sexist, he loves capitalism and he addresses violence against women in a non-structural way. He probably makes delicious food though.

And yet his last two winners for his show were women and he even paid for one woman to become a chef through training.
