When I became a citizen, I checked the box to inform canada that I wanted to vote. Today I got 2 voter forms at this address for people who have long since left but none for me. Is it too late?
Very surprised!
Both of the people spent little time here, and had little contact with officialdom, whereas i have been here 5 years.

So you show up first thing in the morning with 1 card, then in the evening with the other... no problem!

That won't work, because you need two pieces of ID before you can vote.

Also, if you are not on the National Register of Electors, you will have to ask your local returning officer for a registration form in person, or by telephone, fax or mail. You would then return the completed form to the returning officer in person, or by fax or mail.

Proof of identity and address is required: a copy of one document that shows your name, address and signature (such as a driver’s licence), or copies of two pieces of identification, one with your name and address and the other with your name and signature.

With appropriate proofs of identity and residence, you can register another elector who lives at the same address; and with proofs of identity and written authorization, another elector who does not live at the same address.

Bear in mind that you can register to vote at the polling place on election day, or at the returning office for your riding, if you bring the appropriate i.d.

The card should tell you
"if this card is not addressed to you or contains errors, please call the toll-free number on the back."
Makes it all easy peasy
