Not to mention the utter devastation done in little Grenada, an island slightly smaller than the island of Montréal. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3644428.stm I know two women from there who are living here - I think there are a surprising number of Grenadian immigrants up here, seeing that the island has a population of only 100.000. The BBC also has a Caribbean site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/caribbean/ Michelle, I guess the situation is far too grave to make any quips about Kingston... Is Florida being punished?I really have to wonder about the timing of the recent hurricanes in Florida. Questions which come to mind are: Is Florida being punished for almost voting Republican in 2000? Is God angry with all Floridians, and if so why is he mostly targetting trailer parks? Does God realize that October is the biggest campaign month, and that his late August / early September rage will be all but forgotten by the voters in November? She is supposed to be omniscient, after all. One only has to look at Florida to see the modern Soddom and Gemorah. DisneyWorld. Universal Studios. Civilization crushing nature with nary a thought to the consequences. Jeb Bush as governor, and George W. sort of elected president through this key swing state. It's enough to bring out the vengeful God in everyone. It's no place for the mamby-pamby 'love thy neighbour' God of the New Testament. Like most from the Deep South (and Republicans everywhere), Floridians only pay attention to Old Testament God, with the plagues, the locusts, and the rivers of blood. So, what message is God sending to Florida, through the avenging angels Charley, Francis, and Ivan? Clearly, God is not happy with Florida's choice in almost elected representatives. Clearly, God has decided to take charge of the situation. But are Floridians listening? Do they see the signs? Can they make the connection? I guess we'll know in November. Floridians should start boarding up the windows come August 2008 if George W. wins or steals another term because of them. God doesn't like to be ignored.
