"The blasts will cost Pemex $3 million a day in lost gas sales, said Jesus"

quote:
The attacks, which follow two pipeline bombings in July by a guerilla group, threaten to slow Mexico's economy by disrupting the auto and auto parts industries. Companies such as Volkswagen AG and General Motors Corp. have closed plants on fuel shortages. The latest sabotage, claimed by the same group, will be twice as damaging to companies in the glass, beer, food, iron and steel industries, said Agustin Humann, vice president of the Mexican Association of Natural Gas.

Interesting

Al Qaeda in Acapulco, to be more precise. They can be a little picky about being generalized, apparently. Something to do with the colours of their team jackets, of which they're quite proud. Anyway, a nice bit of work.
In a more serious vein, why that darned Osama WASN'T tagged with this is noteworthy. It was not so long ago that Binnie was taking the rap for things like a Greyhound bus blowing a tire on I-81, 12 miles north of Scranton, PA. Or an outhouse fire in some hick town just west of Dubuque, IA. Anyone else notice the shift?
