queerday reports:

quote:
Sam Brown, a student at Balliol College, was arrested and detained after he "verbally abused a police horse." Released the next day with a fine of £80, Brown was fined for "causing harassment, harm or distress," after repeatedly saying that an officer's horse was gay.

A drunken Brown and his friends had encountered two mounted policeman and Brown asked, "How do you feel about your horse being gay?” The cop said his horse clearly wasn't gay - and after repeated comments Brown's offer of an apology to the horse was rejected and he was handcuffed and taken by the officers to the police station.

How did the cop know? Did he watch his horse copulate? I think its open question.

Just because a boy horse has sex with a girl horse doesn't mean he's straight; he could be bi-curious or just uncomfortable with coming out.

I feel sorry for the girl horse though... nothing worse than being labelled a fag nag.

I'm pretty disgusted with how the UK deals with "youth crime" and so-called "anti-social behaviour" in general, but this is simply... absurd.

How many years have you been patiently waiting for there to be a news story about gay horses so you could use that?

Well if you ask the pink bridle lobby, there aren't any *straight* horses, just straight horse media.

Still, think about if the horse is straight...it'd be tough to be saddled with the stigma of being gay; it could even stirrup a bit of trouble among those with homophobic blinders on. I say it's time to rein in these blanket allegations!

This just in, from "Jo-Jo: A Horse Speaks" - Special to The Sun (candid pictures page 3):

quote:
"I'm here to tell the world that I'm not gay... I'm... (sob)... impotent! Why else would I wear a pin on my saddle rug that says, 'Geldings for Equine Marriage'?"

When asked about his other pin, 'It's the Charter, Jackass', Jo-Jo had no comment.

When reporters asked the horse if he was gay, his response was unequivocal: Neigh!

Aaaaawww, RB, you're cute: but you see I have this thing called wit, which enables me to think up humorous things at the spur of the moment!

Once you allow equine marriage, it's only a matter of time before you have horses wanting to get married to jackasses. Won't someone please think of the children? They'll grow up stubborn as mules!

My friend's three year old got a stern look from a cop once when he pointed at his horse and said "doggy". I told her she should be thankful he didn't point and say "piggy".

Wow, you lot sure took the bit between your teeth. But I suppose we should finish this up--no point flogging a dead horse. Or, indeed, any horse whose scene wasn't consensual S/M. Let the whole thing wither on the vine, or we'll be up to our hocks in bad puns.
On the other hand, there may be more to this story--those quotes look cropped to me.
