This is a group of hotel workers who have been having to fight management and been attacked with awful slurs and homophobic language by their own union local, Here 75.

In response to the tiny pickets, initially organized by the Unite Here leadership, to oppose the work of the MHWC and literally line up with management against victimized workers, who after paying years of dues receive no representation, a handful of managers and UniteHere members chanted “Carlos the Homo, Carlos the Theif."
Of course, there is no doubt that it is unacceptable for any worker to have to tolerate such a homophobic, racist and sexist frenzy on the job.  It is the duty of  trade unionists to oppose oppression on the job and in our  communities. Therefore, in response to these actions, the Metropolitan Hotel Workers Committee will call a picket for this
Saturday, November 6 at 4:00 pm
108 Chestnut, S. of Dundas, W. of Bay, E. of University
 
Bring Union banners and any pink Triangles, any related LGBT  (rainbows, drag etc)  you have around.
