Austria's Haider dies in accident

It isn't necessarily good news or antiascits/antiracists in Austria. Haider and his former dauphin, the even younger and better-looking fascist Heinz-Christian Strache, were at loggerheads and this could unite them.

unionist, I'm sure not mourning this fascist shit, but you may recall that a few years ago, on this board (don't remember whether you had joined by then) a good friend of mine and his young daughter also died on a hilly road, in the Eastern Townships outside Sherbrooke. I don't think car crashes are divine retribution for anything - they are simply proof that: L'auto: ça pue, ça tue et ça pollue. (Fascists also).

Lagatta, no, I never read your account of that accident, and I'm sorry for your loss. My God remark was in poor taste. Nor was I aware of the politics in Haider's party. I just didn't care for this person who once referred to the Nazi death camps as "discipline camps". I thought it ironic that he had now been disciplined for that comment.

Oh yes, he was relooked fascist filth, and I'm not at all sorry about his death. I'm sure you know decent people as well who were killed or injured in car accidents.

I am afraid this can unite the neofascists in the land of Hitler's birth...

Unlike the Germans, many Austrians have never owned up to their role in the Third Reich, claiming to be "Nazism's first victims"...

Actually Nazism's first victims were Germans, but Germans of the wrong political stripe and/or "race"...

But I have read essays regarding much earlier documents and government policies.

Interestingly, modern Germany has the same percentage of mentally ill people as other nations. This is an uncomfortable truth for proponents of the biological/genetic model of mental disorders.

A news report said he had been doing twice the speed limit. Seems like he was in hurry to get somewhere, and misjudged.
