My apologies I meant per year as opposed per month but I didn't do the math so what the hey. No one can tell me that a lot of the money spent on EI isn't wasted cause it is. Great its good for "seasonal" workers but it's not great for workers that choose to be "seasonal". My nephew and his friend moved in with us looking for work. He asked if they could stay and save money for an apartment. 6 weeks later after getting fired a few times because of laziness on the job and missing work they finally saved enough. While staying with us my nephews "friend" asked if we could wake him for work before we left home. On many occasions my wife and myself had to go out and wake them for work and, on many occasions, had to return again and again to try and wake them. One morning in particular my wife went back 4 times and on the 4th time she said if you don't get up you'll get fired. He got up went to work and when I went home for lunch he was back, said he finished early. I've never seen anybody so lazy, cheap, or dirty in my life. As soon as he got his "hours" he returned home to leave with mom and dad and I just heard he'll be getting TOP EI! He, of course, quit his job to return home. Another person I knew worked "seasonal" jobs as well. When the time came to go to school guess you paid? The good ole government. Now he makes more than me, doesn't have a student loan to pay back nor the interst with it, and who paid for his course? People like me! So anyone totally pro-EI I have no time for. It's good for those who need it but...

Email to Michelle has been sent.

And also, the title of these two threads is sexist. So there!
