Update: Murray Dobbin will be joining the roundtable discussion - a debrief on the federal election - the roundtable will ponder what the elections mean for progressive movements and how emerging and independent media can play a stronger role in supporting progressive movements. Also, rabble.ca is one of nearly 20 groups in Toronto organizing a full day of workshops for media democracy day! The day includes lots of skills-building workshops (including: how to podcast, how to do on-line video, investigative journalism tips for citizen journalists, resource-sharing for documentary journalists), and thematic workshops on a broad range of subjects. Details are at www.missinginthemedia.ca The day kicks off at the University of Toronto, 33 St. George Street, with a panel on citizen media, and ends with the relaunch at the Steamwhistle Brewery.
