Keith Olbermann delivered a 'Special Comment' in his Thursday evening broadcast on the subject of lying, specifically that committed by members of the Administration, up to and including President Bush. His Thursday 'Special Comment' was among the longest he has produced on his MSNBC show Countdown. A full transcript is available here.

Story and video clip here.

I saw it last night. It was the harshest critique of an American President that I have ever seen on US television, and I include the last days of President Nixon in that statement.

He basically calls Bush a traitor to the Constitution.

He's right, of course. But it is WELL worth viewing to see his outrage, and the full extent of his indictment of Bush and his enablers.

Well there must be enough people waking up in America for MSNBC to air a piece like that. Isn't this the same network whose doorways Denis Miller continues to darken. I assume they've tested the political winds and figured there's enough of a marketable audience to start being honest again. I say start, because Olberman only scratches the surface. He seems to be mainly concerned with greedy politics, the tarnish on his country's prestige and the erosion of liberties he says Americans univerally cherish. Too bad he didn't see fit to toss in a reminder of the human carnage his counry is capable of and responsible for. They still haven't realized, at least in morally decisive politial numbers, what they're doing or what they've done.
