A textbook used at schools in the Indian state of Rajasthan compares housewives to donkeys, and suggests the animals make better companions as they complain less and are more loyal to their "masters," The Times of India reported Tuesday.

"A donkey is like a housewife ... In fact, the donkey is a shade better, for while the housewife may sometimes complain and walk off to her parents' home, you'll never catch the donkey being disloyal to his master," the newspaper reported, quoting a Hindi-language primer meant for 14-year-olds.

What asses! And I am not talking about the donkeys, but rather the authors and reviewers of this textbook.

Why stop there with the comparison? Go all the way and suggest that sex with a donkey is more fun for the husband (and implicitely, a blessing for the wife to be relieved of this "chore"). Indeed, what asses.

Are you sure it's not Maharashtra?

That's the state with all of those Nazi freaks who vote for Shivsena.

Besides, even from a misogynist perspective, the unfavourable comparison to donkeys is inaccurate: The average housewive is far more loyal to her husband than the likes of John Kerry, Howard Dean, or Hillary Clinton are to their constituencies.
