Map of Israeli dismemberment of Palestine

The dark brown areas are the ever-shrinking enclaves where Palestinians live.

Compare that with the number of Jews in countries like Morocco, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, and Iran; 1935 and today.

I didn't realize that Palestinians were Iraqi, Iranian, Egyptian and Morrocan, so much as to be responsible for what happened in otehr countries after the Israelis booted out the Palestinians from Israel in 1948. I even was under the dumb impression that the Palestinians were Arabs, not Persians.

Palestinians are Arabs, and Arabs from the Maghreb to the Mashreq invoke their cause when refusing to recognize Israel.

I didn't realize my grandparents were Israelis, when Moroccan Arabs made it impossible for them to remain in Morocco after Israeli independence. Actually, they still aren't Israeli - they emigrated to Montreal.

So you are caliming that all Arabs are collectively responsible for the actions of all other Arabs, ergo, Arab governments have the right to apply the same principle of collective responsibility to Jews, and expell them from Arab countries because of what Ben Gurion did in 1948.

Such would be logical consistent. However it would also deflate your arguement.

No. I'm saying that Arabs across the world held Jews collectively responsible for the actions of Israelis, in chasing us out of countries in which we'd lived for centuries. It's strange how Israeli heavyhandedness is a crime against humanity for some people, who on the other hand overlook the much more widespread expulsions and pogroms and other forms of collective punishment Arabs meted out to Jews first.

So, in other words you oppose the principle of collective responsibility, therefore, what individual Arab governments did after 1948, in retaliation for the expulsion of Palestinian Arabs is not the responsibility of individual Palestinian Arabs who niether lobbied for or particpated in the events you are describing, just as you, or your family are not responsible for the actions of Ben Gurion.

Fine, we agree, individual human rights are not abrogated by the acts of other people, simply because they share a religion or culture or ethnicity.

Do you have any otehr comments on the map?

What a crock! So many of us blindly, completly and openly supported Israel and the Jewish people with NO question of their actions for decades simply because of the evils done to them. At SOME point we're allowed to start questioning that complete support in the face of overwhelming evidence of abuses against another peoples without being called anti-semites, jew-haters, or whatever else.

It's NOT anti-semetic to question Israel's actions, I personally completely support Israels right of existance, and right to defend itself, but I don't support their right to create aparteid-like conditions in the Palestian territories.

'Piel' didn't seem like a person to me. More like some racist joke about people with learning difficulties.
