Is this trade really a critical skill shortage? Is Canada really unable to develop and train a sufficient supply of dancers from domestic sources?

I know that one of the NDP's arch-feminists, Judy Wasylicia-Leis from Winnipeg, made some headlines about two years ago denouncing any federal government agency involvement in recruiting strippers, either overseas or at home.
