She wasn't canadian, but she shouldn't be resigned to obscurity.

James Watson and Francis Crick shared the 1962 Nobel Prize with Maurice Wilkins for discovering the double helical structure of DNA. Rosalind Franklin was actually the first to discover that there were two forms of DNA, and to produce clear x-ray images of both, which were instrumental in confirming the helical structure.

Just add it to the list of women's accomplishments that have been obscured or obliterated. Very sad.
