....it is not all bad news. Losing a seat is a message to the governing Yukon Party conservatives. The polls are pointing to the NDP to gain control of the Leg' in a spring election. You guys should all move here, it'll be great fun!

FWIW party labels in the Yukon don't really mean all that much. Our current 'Premier' jumped from the NDP to the Yukon Party to become Premier. Former Liberal Premier Pat Duncan used to work for the Federal Conservatives. The Yukon New Democrats seem to be the only party that carries the left wing slant that is recognisable as NDP, the rest of the Leg' is just righties of varying degrees.
