The University of Toronto Centre for Women and Trans people is sponsoring "Sisters in Conversation: An event for and by Muslim women".

This event is meant to provide Muslim women with an opportunity to speak their mind about current issues they have to deal with. Discussion topics include: the hijab, what makes a good Muslim woman, perceptions of Muslim women, music and art
in Islam, and many more! Also, author Farzana Hassan ("Islam, Women, and the Challenges of Today") and authors from "Voices of Resistance" will be in attendance and speaking about their books. Breaks will be taken at prayer times, as well as for snacks/refreshments (Halal). This is a great way to share your opinions, or just listen to what others have to say. Spread the word and don't miss out!

When: Monday, March 12th 2007
Time: 4-7pm
Location: International Student Centre (ISC) -- Cumberland Room [33 St.George Street]

For more information, contact The Centre for Women and Trans People
416.978.8201

Event is wheelchair accessible and childcare subsidy is available
