Here's a Dutch take on medical care.
quote: While Dutch citizens are worried about the phase-in of a new and revised health care benefits system, we have just received a clear message from the United States: things can always get worse.
quote: The latest findings by the American Census Bureau found that 45 million Americans are uninsured. This is almost one sixth of the population! At the same time, the Americans are spending more on healthcare than any other country in the industrialized world
quote: On the other side of the healthcare equation you find countries where the healthcare industry is entirely regulated by the government. Examples are Canada and the U.K.

Every time I read about the number of people without health care in the US, I am completely amazed. How do people without insurance receive medical care?
-------- Drift. If the Americans simply made better designed cars, they could sell them for more money. I suspect that many people are afraid to buy US designed cars and will only do so when they slash prices.

They often go without. The cost for insurance is prohibitive for many. Cheap insurance is worthless. Health care is a major issue in the US, yet very few politicians want to tackle it.
