Oil prices dip. But Canadians should "brace themselves for higher oil prices."

Whatever happened to the good basic common sense notion of nationalizing majoroil companies.

I was looking for a related news story about the drop of oil prices with a corresponding rise in price at the pump...nothing... Why is there not a major story in the media?

Why are we not protesting and asking for answers to this situation?

People on this forum might respond that we need to use public transport, but that's impossible in the rurals. The price of fuel is killing people living on and around farming communities. We're already realing with the farm crisises, and here is another blow

We're looking at buying a newer fuel efficient vehicle that will be capable to pull a tent trailor...doesn't need a lot of power. Checking out new and used car ratings of milage, I was appalled at the horrible ratings given for almost any vehicle.

How do we pressure the govt to force the auto companies to make more fuel efficient vehicles?

Everyone is being bombarded by the One Tonne Challenge, yet the govt. does almost nothing. I've heard about some target mileage reduction for a few years down the road, but we're all supposed to get on board while the corporations fuck up the environment.

How can we allow to be charged over $4/gal? Can't this be stopped?
