Alexander Sanger was featured on CBC Radio One's the Current this morning, promoting his new book entitled "Beyond Choice: Reproductive Freedom in the 21st Century."

web page

As it turns out, he's the grandson of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, and is promoting himself as carrying on her legacy. All well and good- except that Margaret Sanger was a notorious eugenecist, promoting birth control especially for blacks and others she considered "unfit" to breed. Interestingly enough, although he invokes her legacy and invokes evolutionary arguments for the "furthering of humanity" himself, he totally fails to analyze some of the really thorny race and class issues inherent in this legacy.
