I covet most of these. Finally! Perfumes that smell like something I actually like!

What do y'all wear?

Oh, God, I love those. I have far too many already. "Gin & Tonic" is the yummiest thing ever. "Quince" smells just like a pear, skin and all.

Technically I shouldn't wear them, given the scent ban in Halifax's public buildings, but they're all extremely light and they fade within half an hour or so, so...

They have them at Ice and Ruby's Beauty Bar in Toronto, and at Biscuit in Halifax. Not all of them, alas, but some. I really want to try "Wet Garden" and, well, I just want to smell all of them.

(Some of them I just don't understand, though. Funeral Home? Why would anyone want to smell like formaldehyde? Gross.)

See, this is my dilemma. I'm a leftist, I really am, but I really like shopping.

My absolute favourite (of those that I've smelled) is carrot.

The laundromat one makes my nose burn.

Where is Ruby's Beauty Bar???

It's on Queen West, on the south side...I forget the number (think it's in the 700s), but you should be able to find it in the phone book or whatever...

They have the best stuff at Rubies. I got pink underwear with Pierre Trudeau silkscreened on them there. They rock.

Dirt? Dust? Only if you want people to sneeze at the thought of you, I think. The tobacco and smoking scents aren't good either, except some people have pleasant memories connected with a good pipe smell.

As an Avon rep, I'm very aware that fruit scents, especially peach, strawberry, raspberry and watermelon are very popular. Vanilla has been very popular for a long time and will likely continue to be.

I have pleasant memories associated with cigar smoke. Also, I gather "dirt" is a sort of grassy/leafy scent - like mud in the spring, you know, earth.

Can't wear most fruity perfumes. Too sweet. I have a tendency to turn them sour and/or very strong.

Holy Water is a nice one, although I can't tell the difference between it and Snow.

I want to get Mahogany for the boy. It smells very, very sexy.

Probably appocraphyl, but Napoleon was said to have sent this message to Josephine:

"I'm coming home. Don't wash."
