Hello all,
I am new to this forum but hoping to prompt a discussion about the challenges women face in getting through party nomination processes. Specifically, only 2 women got the Vision Vancouver nomination for city council on September 20th. Five women ran, there were 8 spots on the ballot and only 2 (1 was the incumbent) were successful.
I want to know why...
Allison McDonald and I started a Vote 4 Women campaign encouraging members to consider gender balance at the voting booth but clearly this was not successful.
We have a website and a comment field and we're encouraging a debrief... visit: www.vote4women.org
