Now the Cons start their chorus of whining and complaining because Joe Volpe is asking the RCMP to investigate several conservative MP's.
Conservative campaign chair John Reynolds says the Liberals are using the police to smear the party.
quote:
"I'm absolutely ashamed that a minister of the government would go against other MPs, bringing in the RCMP and wasting taxpayers' dollars," he said.

Hey where have I heard that before? It's ok to spend taxpayers money on adscam and to spend tax payers money to force an election Canadians don't want, eh?
Let the crying chorus begin-"Whaa Whhaa Whaa" ....

"That's what fundamentalism breeds: no irony." -Bill Hicks

p.s.I wish the gLibs and the NDP would really stick it to these pathetic "I'm not Liberal-vote for me" band of hypocrites.

Well, the referrals to the RCMP are proper (it would certainly be highly improper for Volpe to investigate himself, or to hide such allegations from the police) and they are fair -- after all, the Cons were fiercely in favour of a similar investigation of Judy Sgro, and further judged that she should step down before anything had been proved ... And further, Diane Ablonczy is still on Sgro's case, even after she has been vindicated.

All the same, leaking to Robert Fife sounds like ... politics as usual. Gee, it sounds like what was done to Judy Sgro.

Volpe also has claimed that Surrey Tory MP Gurmant Grewal asked his B.C. constituents to post bonds of up to $100,000 in exchange for his help in obtaining temporary visas.

If true I guess the cons like immigration if money can be extorted in the process. I guess it all depends on who can afford to immigrate here.

I hope Volpe has good, solid evidence. Otherwise, he looks like a fool if if nothing comes of this.
