I was watching some gentleman on the news explaining how there was no way the person killing the eagles could be a native, they apparently have too much respect for mother nature for this to ever happen.
Which kind of goes against my own experience of working with natives in the north and having a guy explain that him and his grandfather had spent a couple of days hunting eagles for the feathers.

In fairness, perhaps babble needs a gloating forum.

I doubt this is the right forum for this post, but I can't deny being interested to see what kind of reaction, if any, this gets.

My guess: rationalization. eg: "We took their land and customs so we owe him some eagles/he must be forced to do this by economic pressures/noble savages know what they're doing and would never overhunt/overfish like we would".

I guess we'll see though. Meanwhile, maybe a move to the B.C. forum?
